Every year the Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Society organizes three river cleanups for the Chilliwack/Vedder River! For 2012 the dates and locations are:

    Saturday, April 14th at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve
    Saturday, July 14th at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve
    Sunday, September 30th - World Rivers Day, at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club House

With the common goal of sustaining the beauty of the Chilliwack/Vedder river, 462 volunteers participated in three cleanups in 2011, putting in 1,848 volunteer hours. Thier was 7.14 tonnes of garbage collected, giving a total of 72.87 tonnes of garbage collected since 2002.

Please help keep our rivers clean, this river valley is truely a uniquely beautiful place that deserves our respect and courtasy.
